Drove 1142 miles today,  I-70 was closed due to blizzard conditions (snow and 35 mph winds) so I continued West on I-40 and am spending the night in Amarillo, Texas.  I will check the weather in the AM and head North to Denver/Keystone or go West to Purgatory (Durango) and ski for a few days then move into the condo Sunday in time for the Super Bowl. Travel from home to Oklahoma City was smooth and uneventfull, but thin I hit the cold front with winds 20-30 with gust to 40, bad driving. 
Stopped in Shamrock, Texas and took a picture of the Service Station that was used as the model for the station in the Disney movie "Cars"
