Just off Santiago lift headed down Prospector, as you can see its a beautiful day. Snow is holding up well, but we could use a bit after 5 days in the high 30 /low 40's and the same until 14th.
Skiing down Prospector viewing "The Windows" (all black)
Great little John Deer, really moves well through deep snow.
The "Ruby Express" a hispeed 6 pack, note no lift lines, and this picture was taken about noon.
This is an area bewteen Ruby Express and Santiago express, lots of lounge chairs to enjoy the rays and picnic tables for lunch.
Enjoy lunch and watch folks crash and burn comming down "Starfire" (Black Diamond)
If you want to know how steep the "Blacks" are just look ar the run to the left which is" Mozart" a Blue. Starfire is one of the grommed Black Diamonds
Lots of dead evergreens due to the Pine Bark Beedle. Because Keystone is located in White River National Forest, USDA sets the policy on tree removal and currently they leave the dead trees standing.
Riding up Ruby Express looking over to North Peak. Thats my finger in the top left corner,
Thats River Run in the background with the gondola on the left. End of another great day of skiing, only way if could be better -- some friends come join me.
THINK SNOW !
