Mountain goats and longhorn rams along side the road not bothered by traffic continue to feed.
Church in Big Sky, MT, beautiful setting.
We drove high on the mountain in a housing area called "Cowboy Way" beautiful homes most with direct access to the ski runs.
These were called the "Bee Hives" mountains
Miles of walkways are constructed in the housing area to provide ski in access to home owners.
Don't make the mistake of leaving your car in the parking lot on the day they drag (clear) the lots. Because of very lot temps there were lots of cars that would not start so the tow guys were very busy.
Condos line the ski runs, all covered with several feet of snow.
Whittington standing in the parking lot looking dazed befor having to pay $2 for a small cup of coffee.
Bill has paid $2 for coffee before and is not surprised.
What a fireplace! Four sides, bears on the lower level and Mountain Sheep up about the 12 ft level, very impressive-- and provides heat also.
Beautiful homes on the mountains, Gods creation in all its splendor!
Trees covered with fresh snow combined with extreme low temptures makes for a beautiful sight.
Ski runs in the trees.
With temptures in the -Teens range there were not many folks skiing. We depart tomorrow morning, God willing. The temps is suppose to be -37 tonight, my truck has anti-freeze to -35, thank goodness I have a cold weather kit on the truck that provides heat pads for the batteries and some limited heat to the oil pan, the diesel might not start otherwise. The shuttle bus folks are leaving the buses running all night , the cold wave is suppose to let up by Friday. Tomorrow we are heading to Wolf Creek, MT, about 150 miles North where it is warmer ( yes, Warmer only -9) then on to Seattle, WA. Nor sure when I will be able to post again-so check back often. Have a blessed day!
