Sat 9 Feb-First Full Day at the Cabin

We moved in last night and it was snowing super hard, forecast 12 inches or more.  The HELP(Judith/Judy/Lennis) moving in was lacking, it was to cold, to wet, to much snow, to much to move, to much food, to many clothes, not enough clothes on, to cold, well you get the idea.  We ( Lennis and I) had picked  the girls up at Salt Lake and traveled to Bear River Lodge ( 35 miles South of Evanston, WY) without incident ( other than they were starved) but it started to snow about 10 miles before we got here but it was beautiful.  Nice cabin (2br/2bath) looking out over the Bear River about 10 ft from the National Forest with 1.2 million acres to explore.  Girls had a bit of trouble adjusting to the altitude, we are staying at 8500 ft, so headaches were the rule last night.  These folks are so soft, no one wanted to sleep out in the snow of walk down to the hot tubs with the snow falling ( hot tubs were outside) so they put on all the clothes they had brought along and stood by the fire until toasty then went to bed at 7:30 then wondered why they woke up at midnight and could not go back to sleep.

Today has been spent getting ready for the rest of the week, fitting clothes, getting the snow machines ready trading underwear (long johns) fussing about warm socks, this crowd is great fun to travel with ( anyone want to trade travel companions?) I might be willing to pay boot!

It has snowed off and on for most of the day, even a bit of sunshine.  I got so hot in the cabin last night (could not have been because of all the clothes everyone had on) than someone cut the heat off and went to bed. GUESS WHAT!! No heat this morning, and it got down to 14 last night, so no volunteers to jump out of bed this morning.  The heat is back operating now no frostbite tonight.  We really are having a great time and will try and sent pictures from the park tomorrow.

Trail down to the Bear River.
Getting the snow machines ready for the morning run.
Girls taking care of womens work,(they had missed us so much) breakfast is the first meal of the day- we eat well and lots.  I am trying to keep my weight down but good home cooking I have been missing for the past three weeks.
