Lee's & Whittington's @ Gatlinburg, TN

A day in the life of OLD RETIREES

Early mornings are a sight with nightgowns and blankets, sunshine all day long, it has been a beautiful day.
View from the condo balcony looking West, we have a nice two BR/two bath condo with all the extras. Gatlinburg is like Branson or Williamsburg on STEROIDS, folks standing on the street waiting to take your money, but we are near the grocery store and the ScrapBook Super Store is within walking distance so the girls are in hog heaven

Lennis trying to supervise the morning activities but its a lost cause. We got up a 5AM ( old folks have weak bladders) but took until 1200 to get ready to leave the house.

Lennis cooked some sausage, but he is so slow it was cold before he finished, a man in the kitchen is not to be trusted.
This shot of these two beautiful ladies was suppose to show all the snow, but the reflection ruins the effect. We had a couple of inches of snow Sunday/Sat night and it has been cold in spite of the sunshine, but never fear it does not hamper the shopping ladies. the Scrapbook store threw a party when they checked out.

We drove up to the Ski slope (not slopes) and watched the kids try and ski, it was about 34 degrees and there there were lots of folks skiing, or trying to ski.

They have a waterslide at the base of the ski slope, need to think about the summer income for a pace like this, at least they have a chair lift and they can make snow.

This is the slope at Gatlinburg, it has three names (for the left side, Right side and center ) but still a singe slope, not quiet like Steamboat Springs.

What a bunch (like bananas)

Lennis and Judy overlooking the skating rink at the ski slope. Judith and Judy found something to buy here ( they left their coats in the car and got cold so had to buy a sweat shirt to keep warm, but the good news is the shirts were on sale because Spring is only a couple of weeks away. These gals are doing their part to keep the economy strong.)
Keep tuned in, we have some box wine that was opened at Christmas ( almost vinegar) SOME bAR-b- qUE FROM White Swan (N.C. 's best) and 6 more days
