3rd Ski Day-Almost Perfect (Wind 9-11 MPH Gust 40 MPH

The morning ritual- getting dressed--several of us need help getting our boots on and fastened. Don't you like what Brenda has done with her hair??
Don't we all look pleasant early in the morning??

Redneck Phillip, brushing his teeth in the kitchen sink, some folks you can't take anywhere. We don't even have to tell folks we are from Alabama.

If you were the bus driver would you stop and pick up this crowd?? Believe it or not we look better in the AM than when we come dragging in after skiing all day.

This crowd is enough to scare a lift operator to death. Here we all gather at the top of the lift before going to the selected spot to celebrate Barry Vines' life.

Having selected the perfect spot on a beautiful ski slope that overlooks Breckenridge and Peak 7 Brenda and Eugenia prepare to spread Barry's ashes.

A short Memorial Service was held as we all remembered Barry's love of skiing. A fitting memory while we admired the beauty of God's creation. A very fitting resting place for Barry.
Memorial for Barry Vines—Breckenridge February 2,2009

Barry’s faith was important to him. Faith based on the grace and love of Jesus …his Lord and Savior. Romans 5:1….grace brings hope of sharing the glory of God…..a hope that does not disappoint because of God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit that has been given to us.
In sure and certain hope of the resurrection to eternal life thru or Lord Jesus Christ we comment to Almighty God our brother Barry Vines and we commit his body to the ground, earth to earth, ashes to ashes, dust to dust. The Lord bless him and keep him, the Lord makes His face to shine upon him and be gracious to him and give him peace. Amen
Brenda’s Tribute to Barry Vines
This will sound Hoaky. Just the kind of thing that would get a laugh out of Barry.

B – Bravery: He never feared to tell people about Jesus.
A – Active: Everything about him was always moving, even in his sleep
When he snored.
R- Real Funny: Oh how he loved to laugh.
R- Really, Really Funny: Always good for a laugh, with
Someone or at himself.
Y-- You: For him it was always about others.

V- Victory: He has in Jesus.
I—Infectious: His infectious laughter would draw you in to
Moments of sheer delight.
N- Never: There was never a dull moment around him.

After the short service we gather for a final photo before hitting the slopes again.

Lunch break takes on special meaning when the outside wind chill is below 0. Here Tyler and Phillip look almost like normal folks when the top 3 layers of warm clothing have been removed.

Tyler is the youngest in this group. He is keeping pace with the old people.

There are always a couple of good looking guys in the crowd. (This is not 2 of them)

Want to take a guess as to who these folks are?? We all look the same when bundled up, the colors are changer to protect the innocent.
